The Lemon Yellow Pea is a mobile catering service founded by Michael Glynn also known as 'Mick the Chef'. Mick has been passionately working with food for more than 20 years. He started off in Galway where he did the Culinary Art Course at GMIT in 1998. Not much later he moved to West-Cork where he cooked in restaurants and hotels ranging from the Bullman to the Pink Elephant, Finns Table, Stranded Cafe and Courtmacsherry Hotel.
In 2019 Mick got the unique opportunity to start his own business and grabbed it with both hands. The Lemon Yellow Pea was born.
Vision
The vision Mick has for the Lemon Yellow Pea is to provide quality healthy and fresh food for all. Besides his passion for cooking, mick is also passionate about growing food. This love for food - from the shoots to the end product - is what makes Mick's dishes so delicious.
The home base of the catering service is the Kinsale Yacht Club, where the Lemon Yellow Pea is open several days a week to anyone who is looking for a lovely meal. It is also possible to book the catering service for private events or parties. Contact us for more information.
